Re: The train carriages were packed together

You should use spacers instead. They're a special car type that you can use to place space in-between the train cars. Ask Lobby or JustAnyone about the ID. I believe it's a vanilla feature.

Re: [792] Real time script editing

I asked because whenever I change the name of the script, I get this error: Screenshot_20200727-093329.png [ { "frames":[], "id":"TheoThoughts.kt101", "meta":{ "luawrapper":{ "dev":true, "script":"TT.lua" } }, "script":"#LuaWrapper", "strictlua":true, "type":"script" } ]

Re: [792] Real time script editing

Does the script have to be named "myscript.lua"?

You can download them here:

Although I would recommend just using the vanilla tunnels.

Re: The Prison Expansion Pack needs some balancing (Warning: Long)

I think you'll be happy to hear that after a few months of work, version 1.2 of the Prison Expansion is almost complete! If everything goes to plan (and I don't find any major bugs), the update should release sometime in the next week or so. It's a shame I didn't get to add every feature I wanted to...

Re: How do I use City.issueDisaster ()?

You mentioned how the positions are absolute. To make them relative to a building, would I use City.getBuilding () as a part of the location?

Re: How do I use City.issueDisaster ()?

Ah, thank you. I'll try this later. I wasn't aware you need to add the prefix to the disaster names as well.

Re: How do I use City.issueDisaster ()?

I'm well aware of these conditions and I can assure you, the riots and fires should have all the buildings and roads they need.

Re: How do I use City.issueDisaster ()?

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, after trying your code, nothing seemed to change. It still only plays the notification.

How do I use City.issueDisaster ()?

I've been trying to use City.issueDisaster () in a Lua-based project of mine, but I can't get it to work. I've been trying to get a building to execute disasters relative to it's position, but nothing happens. The script is attached to a building json using the "script": "myscripthere.lua" variable....

Version 1.3.2 has been released. It's a small update that nerfs the giant and makes some small changes to a few of the sounds:

Re: Cars

I took a look at the SWAT van's definition, and I didn't find anything out of the ordinary that seemed to give it the functionality I wanted. Are the emergency vehicles hard-coded?

Re: New UI and UX feedback

I know this UI mockup is a bit cramped, but I think it would be nice if the price of each item was displayed so you could look at them at a glance.

My suggestion - remove texts and the NEW! thingy - they both look terrible.
I believe you can disable the NEW thing in the settings somewhere.

2. You have to add this into your bus definition:

Code: Select all

"template":"$template_bus00"
The bus will then be added to the variants of busses.
Is there a template for emergency vehicles, like SWAT vans, to be specific?

I like how more rows of items are finally visible now. Being limited to one row of items has been my least favorite part of the current UI.
