So, I'm just trying to do some shadows, and I encountered a problem:
Can the shadows go beyond the 1x1 tile? Because when you place the straight tiles in line next to each other, there would otherwise always be a strange dent in the shadows in the lower part of every tile.

Ah, ok.
well I have tried it, and there are these dents. The question is what looks more correct, dented shadows or no shadows?

You shouldn't I've done it before. Then I removed them Try it and see. Just make sure they are transparent with no more than 25% opacity.

If the shadows go too far outside the tile , they will be clipped anyway by other things drawing again.

okay.
I made some shadows (with dents) in 25% opacity.
former member, if you want, you can put them in the plugin (maybe as version 1.1, or as an alternative version). But please note, I changed the filenames to soundwalls_A_1.png etc. in order to not confuse them with the earlier version without shadows. This may have to be adjusted in the json.

I don't know... You're probably right, in reality there would be another shadow, but I'm not sure if this is really necessary in the game.
Also it would mean to recolor all the pieces again, because the colors I used for the different sides are not contrasty enough to make a shadow work in that corner. I've just tried it and it doesn't look too convincing. There would have to be more contrast.

Maybe I'll get around to it later.

Yeah, I did it anyway. It is also a bit more contrasty now, which is nice but probably also not very necessary.
