It's not an illusion trick, it's elevated terrain. Or in this case, exalted terrain

Elevated terrain should support every ground type with edge frames.

Some magic in code stretches graphics of ground and adjusts it to the shape of the slope

Hopefully, it will happen in the end of my summer. The end of mine is around June 6th.

It only reads about a 14x14 area.

...I am an Openttd fan as well!Well,the elevated terrain thing looks similar to Openttd,if you look closely.
If the dev introduces terrain up or terrain down tool similar to Openttd, I would surely try to buy the released game for sure!

What's have you mean by that? TheoTown already has terrain raise, lower and platform tools.
