My seasons are reversed, but it still works ok.
Here is how an oak forest looks in game:
To make the four frame image, start with a 32wx32h image:
- 1 Draw the trunk(s), branches, and shadows.
2 When finished with that, save it.
If you use Pixly, select and copy it also.
3 Now make a mark on the left or right.
4 Now resize the image to (w+32)x32h.
5 Move the mark in the image to the edge.
6 Erase the mark.
7 Now paste (and move if necessary) the saved image into the blank spot.
8 Repeat from 2 until the image is 128wx32h and you have 4 trunks.
9 Draw the leaves and shadows in each section according to the season.
10 Save and use it.
