Seattle Residential Pack

#1

Post by Designer Anthony »

Hello everyone!
Cerritos_21-04-14_20.55.32.png
This is my first pack with shading, the Seattle Residential Pack!

This pack is inspired by buildings from Seattle. This pack contains 5-6 buildings (7 in next update). It would be in Residential TT. It ranges from 68-439 inhabitants.

THIS IS MY BEST WORK EVER! IT TOOK ME AT LEAST 2 TO 3 DAYS TO MAKE THIS PLUGIN.

Advice/Feedback/Critism are all accepted.

Any suggestions?

your building is great but add more texture on the building to make it look more realistic

Make the texture rough. Add some same colors but in different level or hue and sprinkle it all over the texture

I will give you some advices that I would love to have received when I was starting out: making plugins for Theo Town is good, but making GOOD plugins for Theo Town is even better. You seem to have a lot of desire to make plugins, but your work doesn't have a lot of quality, you can improve it! Here are some recommendations for you:
  • Shadows! Your plugins need shade and this is not a detail, it is essential! The right side of the building must be darker, okay?

  • The roofs need to be more detailed! Even if the building has a beautiful facade, if the roof is strange it makes it weird. Add antennas, lightning rods and other roofing stuff.

  • Noise! Your buildings really need it! This will make them look more real and less plastic. (In this case, noise is a small variation in color tones)

I hope you are not offended, I am just giving you advice for you to improve.

Sincerely,
Bernardo Brandão

That's great, you are getting better at that, you might need to work a bit on the windows & shadings but i can give advices on those fairly easily. Try to do some better ones by yourself and if you need help, i am there.
