Overlays

Recent beta versions (since 463) support the definition of an overlay that's drawn to the whole screen. Here are some examples on how it can be used.


Day-night cycle

Basic day-night cycle based on day of month. Has only 4 states.

Applies a soft vignette effect to the borders of the screen.

@Lobby do you think you could do a json for on click fun ( or like weather generator ) so when we interact with a building, there is a different time ( day / night / sunset ...Etc... )

So... These overlays are just .png displaying on top of the actual game, huh?

Is there a way to make it like... A photo filter? Like different action & values for deferent R, G &B?

It's an animation, but it will only use the first frame of it. Could be possible to change that behavior. Depending on your requirement you could actually replace the rain frames by using Lua.
