You should look at Matison's Mark As Road for an idea of how to do water animation. :)

Well I've run into a problem. Roads cannot be placed on water, so that needs to change for my idea to work.

Even with "build water": true or something like that?

I've tried build water: true. It doesn't work for roads.

Because he just uses "draw ground":true.

If the bridge is over water, it will draw the water. :)

I don't want it to be a bridge though.

Because roads automatically build bridges over water if the road has bridge frames defined.

What's wrong with

Code: Select all

"bridge height":0,
"bridge frames":[null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null],
"draw ground":true
?

It looks like water if your road is transparent, it allows cross ship traffic to go through("under :)"), and the water is already animated.

With my job and school I haven't had time to, otherwise I would have. If someone would like to do it themselves go right ahead.

It wouldn't work as ferry, as there is no code regarding that. Cars however are more advanced.

There is a plugin code regarding ships but the result is ships move randomly and autonomous instead of moving from a certain point A to point B.

This might be possible if you use functions and make some sort of pedestrian road that comes with it (about the transportation of people)
