CAMPAIGN NEWS
SEN. BATRINA GETS FLACK OVER CRITICISM OF ACTING PRESIDENT ALON

-Senate President Jan Batrina has stirred buzz and controversy in his comment made in a campaign speech in Harryville, Jefferson, on the handling of Acting President Alon of the current situation in the country saying "id say President Harrison is rolling over his grave seeing this, and President Jaminal as well on his hospital bed". The comment that was supposedly a joke said by the Batrina camp stirred anger on social media as many went to theotwitter expressing outrage on the comment. With many saying that it is disrespectful to the President still on coma. The #rollinggate made the top trend last night on theowitter. Sen. Batrina issued a live tv apology today expressing "deepest apologies to the people of this country and the President's family, I do not wish nor do I intend to make fun of the current crisis and the President as he is a very close and dear friend of mine as well". The senator did not however retract his criticism of Acting President Alon.

FIERY UNIONIST PRIMARY DEBATES EXPECTED ON WEEKEND
-The Unionist Party's first Primary debates will air this saturday at 7PM Central time in San Antonio, Jefferson as the party is expecting a very heated primary season between the candidates. Polls shows that registered Unionists are split between the past percieved front runner Gov. William Pasey and the new, young Sen. Erick Ulan. The two up the heat in the campaign as they exchanged criticisms about each other. With the Governor calling Sen. Ulan a "fake conservative and a fake Unionist" which prompted the Senator to call the Governor "out of touch and out of his mind". The two front runners along with other candidates of the party are expected to head on the debates as the State of Jefferson is nearing Primary day.

PTV ELECTION UPDATE
VREEMONT POLLS OPEN FOR PRIMARIES

-Its now 8 am Eastern time and Vreemont citizens are now gearing up for the polls. 8.5 million are eligible to vote in the state and so far we see long lines across polling stations state wide and we expect a record breaking turnout.
A poll was conducted before the primary day and polls show that in the Democrats, VP Alon still have a 5 point lead over Sen. Batrina the second runner up with 45 and 40 percent respectively. Whilst in the GOP Sen. Ulan and Gov. Pasey is statisically tied with both at 40 percentage points.

GOV. PASEY UNDERFIRE FOR BLACKFACE PHOTO
-Gov. William Pasey faces backlash especially online on a photo that surfaced yesterday showing him wearing a blackface and posing absurdly. The photo was dated 1985 during which the governor was already a Junior State Senator. The photo was sent anonimously to the Manhattan Gazette and was published front page. The governor responded in a rally last night.
Our opponents know that we can win so they throw us these absurd photos and accusing me of being a racist.
*crowd boos*
Now they call me a neo-nazi. My friends I am a patriot through and through and throughout my entire life I loved this great country of our!
*Crowd Applause and shouts loudly*
So for the recors I deny that that was me in that photo. And I dont believe that it is hardly disqualifying as a candidate.
*crowd standing ovation*

The VP hasn't responded yet but a press conference is arranged today to answer the allegations. Sen. Batrina lashed out, pointing to the VP as a hypocrite when it called out his campaign on airing attack ads, adding "the VP showed why we cant have change with old school politicians and theur maudering attack ads". The latest polls show the VP's support from Evangelicals and Christians evaporate from 35% to just 10%. This also cuased his precipitous decline in the polls from 43% to just 31% with his opponents now gaining ground.

The biggest in the country and with a growth rate of 10% and new jobs ammounting to 2.3 million. He is the most popular state governor with an approval rating of 77%. Both GOP and Dems in his state support the governor. But he also faced controversy, his most infamous is when he is in his first year as governoe when he had an affair for 3 years whilst having a long term relationship with his girlfriend of 5 years. The governor ended up with breaking up with his girlfriend and is now Happily married with his Wife, Iya Evasco.

Will the governor rise thru the ranks and take the democtatic nomination this June? Only time will tell.

SEN. ERICK ULAN-THE RISING STAR OF THE RIGHT

-Sen. Erick John Ulan of the state of Jefferson shook the foundations of the GOP and became the front runner for the primaries. The 37 year old, 2 term senator is relativelt moderate and can be classified as a classical Unionist unlike some of the candidates such as Matt Calderan who is viewed as a far right candidate. The senator was born July 7th, 1982 in Willhelm, Jefferson, in a family of farmers. Graduated in Jefferson State University with a law degree. In 1994 after he graduated, he entered the Navy to grant the wish of his dying father, the famous Former Admiral George Ulan who served as the head of the Navy during the Pacific theatre of WW2. The Sen. stayed in the navy until 2004, becoming the youngest captain of ANS Vangaurd, the largest carrier of the navy at the time. He then entered private law practice from 2004 to 2008. Then he decided to run as a congressman for the 6th district of Jefferson, his hometown and won. He ran for Senator in 2012 and won, he won his second term in 2016.

The Senator's landmark legislations where the Naval Rebuilding Act, The Space Defense Act and co authored the Universal HealthCare Act. The only Unionist Senator to do so. He also championed Cancer and AIDS research by passing laws funding cure research for them. The senator had controversies surrounding his campaign financed in part by some corporations but the court ruled the Senator not guilty but left a mark on his record. But in order to win the general elections in November,he must win over independents and leaning democrats who are wary of his ties with special interest groups lobbying for defense companies and fossil fuel lobbyists.

Will the Young senator from Jefferson take the nomination and win in November? Only time will tell.
