Pollution Problem

I have a small problem with my pollution. Once I've placed something that creates pollution, it never goes away even if I delete the cause.
I know that there is that one thing under the water tab that can delete pollution where it's built, but only as long as it's there, meaning it takes up space.

Is there some way to remove pollution permanently? Some Plugin or maybe even some vanilla ingame feature? Does it go away on its own after a while? I don't wanna build my city where there's pollution in the ground!

If there's use a vanilla mechanics, you can use trees for it, they clean your air and ground, or mods but they not so effective, I tried them. Use Jungle Trees.
