Do you want to build a beautiful custom parliament? Cathedral? Town hall? Palace? Something else? Whatever the monument, this pack of modular neoclassical architecture should be an exquisite and timeless addition to your city.

As per the name, the architecture is neoclassical or classical revivalist, with some Baroque influence as well. It is not entirely copied off of one place, but it is inspired by various structures including St Paul's Cathedral (London), the Panthéon (Paris), the Church of the Madeleine (Paris), and the U.S. Capitol Building (Washington). These structures can all be fairly faithfully recreated with this plugin.

I upload this plugin on the forums so you can examine the files if you wish. You may adapt the graphics or code for your own plugins but please credit me if it has made significant contribution. I have also submitted it to the plugin store (costing 30 diamonds or free with an ad), so if possible I recommend you download it there so I can get some diamonds.

Contains:
  • 3x3 dome pieces
  • 3x3 building pieces
  • 1x3 building pieces
  • 1x3 portico pieces
  • 1x1 clock tower pieces
  • 1x1 colonnade pieces
  • 1x1 block pieces
  • All pieces contained in "Neoclassical" category under Public > Awards
  • 4+ variants for every piece
Notes:
  • All pieces are effectively rotation-aware (though 4-way symmetrical pieces don't have separate rotation frames for simplicity).
  • Night frames included for the domes and clock towers only.
  • Snow frames are not included.
  • Domes cost 30,000 to build and 300 monthly to maintain.
  • Clock towers cost 10,000 to build and 100 monthly to maintain.
  • 3x3 building pieces cost 10,000 to build and 100 monthly to maintain.
  • All 1x3 pieces cost 3,000 to build and 30 monthly to maintain.
  • Colonnade and block pieces cost 1,000 to build and 10 monthly to maintain.
  • All pieces provide 100 park and culture influence.
  • All pieces do not require road.
  • Porticos and colonnades do not require power or water, but the other pieces do.
Trivia:
  • The text on the entablature of the porticos reads "GOD SAVE THE KING" for no particular reason other than it looked the best out of the few phrases I tried out.
  • The building cannot burn, so you can recreate St Paul's Survives in TheoTown :D
  • The pediment is created from an image of La Madeleine in Paris (credit to Jebulon on Wikimedia Commons, but it is under CC license).
  • The columns used are supposed to be Corinthian columns.
  • The graphics are sized according to a rough scale of 1.5 metres for a person (3 pixels); the windows and doors are large because that's how they are in many monumental structures (e.g. St Paul's).
  • The time on the clocks is 10:10.
  • My 2nd plugin!
Updates:
  1. Reduced build time to 0 for ease of design.
  2. Fixed plugin.manifest error.
  3. (V2) Added clock towers and colonnade pieces. Added text descriptions. Made 1x3 pieces into correctly-rotating compositions. Removed duplicate rotation frames. Fixed column shading for right portico. Made portico/colonnade tile patterns align. Updated thumbnail to reflect these changes.
  4. Added windowless slices and more rotation frames for (windowed) slices. Fixed some shading with the domes. Repositioned the clock tower earlier in the menu.
  5. (V3) Added blocks, inverted colonnade corners, and tall variants for every piece. Rearranged pieces' order. Made new thumbnail.
  6. (V4) Added arcade pieces, sub-categories, improved night frames, and put plugin.manifest file in the main folder.

Contains:
  • 3x3 intersecting dome piece
  • 3x3 'corridor' (i.e. straight, without intersection) dome piece
  • 3x3 intersecting piece
  • 3x3 corridor piece
  • 1x3 piece
  • 1x3 portico piece
  • All pieces contained in "Neoclassical" category under Public > Awards
Notes:
  • 1x3 pieces are actually 1x1s with graphics that extend 2 grid squares to the northwest or northeast, so you can fit them into tighter builds.
  • All pieces are rotation-aware.
  • However the 1x3 pieces can't rotate correctly due to a technical limitation. There are still rotation frames though, only you may have to reposition them in different rotations.
  • Night frames included for the domes only.
  • Snow frames are not included.
  • Domes cost 30,000 to build and 300 monthly to maintain.
  • Normal 3x3 pieces cost 10,000 to build and 100 monthly to maintain.
  • All 1x3 pieces cost 3,000 to build and 30 monthly to maintain.
  • All pieces provide 100 park and culture influence.
  • All pieces do not require road.
  • Porticos do not require electricity or water, but the other pieces do.

You may wish to download version 2 since it takes up significantly less space (but does not have tall variants, blocks, and inverted colonnade corners):

You can assemble it however you want! It depends on what you want to build, then.

The plugin got rejected from the store because I need to add text and make the porticos properly rotatable with compositions. I also want to add a colonnade piece to the plugin so a fairly major update will probably release in the coming days.

The big update has arrived! I have made the porticos properly rotatable using animations, as well as added two new objects: colonnades and clock towers. I've also made a few other minor changes which you can read the update log for.

Now, a WARNING: If you have installed a version of this plugin before today (i.e. the alpha release) then some pieces that you have previously placed, especially the 1x3 ones, may be bugged out if you install the updated version. But this is not a huge issue, since you only have to destroy and replace the bugged pieces for them to work normally again.

V4 just dropped with pieces with arcades (i.e. rows of arches) at their base, which is the main thing. I also forgot to put a post for V3 which added tall variants, blocks, and inverted corners. As of this post, V4 is still pending approval on the plugin store but V3 is up.
