This handles 16 lanes of heavy traffic in 8 directions in the green, without traffic crossing highway lanes, with off-ramps appearing before on-ramps & no on-ramp appearing less than 3 squares before an off-ramp for maximum traffic flow in minimum space for what it is. All of the images after the top two are old versions that I tried to remove from the topic (but I guess wouldn't delete)

Puta Madre, this thing is so cursed. Reminds me something like attraction, but worse than roller coaster.

Do you hate it because I did it on the flat map on sandbox, or simply because I'm me & you're you. Hey, if you hate it so much check it out: I added multiple shots of another one! 😘

Not really... Especially my most recent one (if you're gonna have so many highways anyway). It handles all the traffic.

I want to eventually use plugins to make a monstrous city but be able to handle the traffic. This interchange is easily handling heavy traffic in every direction while connecting all 16 lanes to each other for a city of almost 200000 & climbing (though I have a great bus & decent freight system).

Thank you! I have a new one that I want to test with an extreme population size that's about 20×20 but should be able to handle the traffic, but suddenly none of my plugins want to create population (this is along with the Area Duplicator no longer working which was great for copying this setup to other maps & I'm no longer able to create new regions).

Okay, the new screenshots seem to take up less space, do a better job of keeping off-ramps in front of on-ramps, & should be more interesting to watch handle the traffic. I don't know if my reply will be approved before my new post edit, but there you go. I might try to condense this type of thing more, but idk.

I took a look around at the interchanges players post, & maybe you hate it because it's better than the lane-crossing, out of sequence stuff other people have put up. Here: I improved it for you.

Probably because on some of the on-/off-ramps, I had to build them backwards, then go back over them when that was done to make them the correct direction. I guarantee that every off-ramp from the loop comes with at least two squares between it & the next on-ramp, & as soon as I build the rest of the city-system, I'll build a city around it & it'll work great.

Improved diagonal 4 Lane to 4 Lane highway while keeping at least two squares between an on ramp & following off ramp. These are better than crossed highways. Might have an even better idea with smaller upper loop.
