Following version 1.9.82 and further, when re-installing the game on Android Q (10) or newer the game will no longer be able to access the publicly stored game files due to changes in how Android apps can access external files (they simply cannot).

In order to continue to use your old files after a new installation of the game you will have to copy the old ones into the new (internal) TheoTown folder manually.

Please note that uninstalling the game may delete these internal files if you don't select to retain them. We are sorry for the inconvenience. That's what we all have to deal with now.

In order to access your files on your device you should be able to do so in the built-in files explorer. When connected to a PC you'll find the game files in Android/data/info.flowersoft.theotown.theotown/files

These changes are rough but absolutely necessary from a security standpoint.

Because the release build is not released yet. Mine is still 1.9.61

Does that mean players can't access the game files at will? In that case, how do we test our plugin？

In case they are inaccessible by the official Android Open Source Project files application, you can import and export files from our in-built file manager.

So I have to delete game and re install?? To get any newly downloaded plugins to work?

Hi, my game crashed and I had to reinstall it, now I can't transfer the downloaded files to the game folder. Not even from the computer. Does anyone know any app that makes this possible?

By the way I can't retrieve some plugins from the game's plugin store. They are no longer available.

Are you sure you're moving the folder to the correct directory

Im actually had problems when i took screen the game doesn't save it as file
Meanwhile im using old Lenovo tablet using android version 6

The files will still be where it says above for game versions above 1.9.82.

Will I need to change anything? I'm on a new Galaxy Tab S8.
