Complaint on Plugins.

#1

Post by THEMAX » 08 Nov 2020, 23:47

Lately, we have seen a lot of plugins getting uploaded on the plugin store. Some of which were good while other were a bit less good.
However, there has also been an increase recently on low quality plugins with seemingly no effort in their creation.
The problem is that those are starting to flood the plugin store and seems just like diamonds magnets.
Many (me included) have been complaining lately about how easy it was to post a plugin on the plugin store and having it disapproved.

I am creating this topic simply because i would like the plugin store moderators to put more effort in the selection of good plugins, as a quality check, because some low quality plugins seemingly made in a few hours are lowering the visibility of much higher quality plugins which took months to make.

I agree, my plugins are also getting better in terms of graphics but some of mine like are lacking quality, even though with the mods control and my negligence on reviewing them, some even got approved but later on, it had problems with coding. I flood last month because of the desire to get to the top 3 most plugin posted in that month. My apologies about my errors but I'm now updating my quality control of mines.

Yeah, it's true! Like, how did my airbase plugin got onto the store (well, at least my embassy got disapproved! Sheesh, I used to be bad at graphics)?

I don't even know why my plugins are even approved lol.
I do think they do need to give newer plugin makers a chance, maybe after 5 low quality plugins, maybe they start declining plugins from the user unless they get better.

Bruh
Maybe give them advice instead of letting them put low quality plugins and then declining them.

It should be demonetized! New plugin makers should instead learn from their mistakes to give better stuff.

It always depends on what you deem low quality plugins, for example the classic night plugin can be deemed of low quality and being almost nonsensical nowadays but was state of the art when it was first released (on the forums that is). Similarly my best rated plugin, Fresh Asphalt was one of the lowest effort plugins I made and I still don't get over the fact that it has over 90% approval rating.

The plugins should be rated first if they seem good or bad in terms of quality. Also, everyone has different opinions so a "bad" plugin which is rated "good" may get in the store.
