Weird bug?

So I woke up today an when I checked the forum I saw no new notifications about posts, at first I was like "Nobody posted overnight?" but then I noticed there were some messages that were new, any idea why I had this glitch?

Cookies. Cookies are used to identify when you start a new session which means all posts since the last session are marked as unread. If your browser started multiple new sessions at once, you won't see new posts, but I don't know when or why that might happen.

Chrome opens a new tab ehen you follow someone's link.

I dont see why my there would be anything wrong with cookies, I opened the browser an opened the forum as normal
