I would like to point out our wording in the original post, "acceptable" usage of AI. We realise that nothing beats old fashioned hand drawn art, and in no way, shape or form do we want to discourage this method of plugin creation. It is still the very foundation of our plugin community. However, at the same time we have seen a large increase in fully AI generated plugins, that results in lower quality plugins. As many people do turn to AI these days, we wanted to show how AI could be used responsibly in the plugin creation, using it as an intermediary tool, to then still create the art by hand.
We strongly discourage using only AI when creating plugins, and merely wanted to show how it can be used as a stepping stone into plugin creation for new enthusiasts. It was never meant to offend or discourage plugin creation as we all have known it for the past 10 years.
We will also soon share tutorials* on how to create quality plugins without the usage of any AI, to show both sides of this art! On Facebook and Instagram.
