and yes TheoTown will softlock the Moon if you don't spend your funds wisely,
but not really a softlock ig, I think you should build a base, solar panels and water tanks before mining ores, otherwise you are poorer than an average homeless person, which might be a compliment since you might be bankrupt.

Maybe try building necessary buildings before going mining with drills.

my first time there . the first thing i build is the command center and then water and electricity and next is the mining station all the 10m money was gone like a dust and my income is negative now my moon colony is paused forever

hi, if you run out of money in a colony on the moon and you don't have any money to mine, then delete the colony and accumulate resources to launch a new one, and first install 1 main building, 1 water extraction, 1 solar panel, and 1 fossil extraction, connecting everything with pipes and wires, and when you do, Spend the remaining money on researching artifacts because they provide passive income.

Hi, I had the same issue, but don’t worry, the game lets you reset your mistakes. If you exit your city, you’ll end in the main menu, where you can find a button named “single cities” in the upper part of the screen. By clicking it you’ll see your moon city. At the bottom there will be a button with a green first aid kit picture. By pressing it you’ll find all the saved files of your city, in this case the moon. You can decide to witch moment you would like to go back. I’m not sure what will happen if you delete all the city, so it will e better if you just don’t do that. I hope I remembered everything correctly and you are able to have a second chance (there isn’t much in the moon, so don’t worry if you soft lock, and sorry for my weak English).

kinda unrelated but if you explore the moon you found a pickle with 8 minions and you should start his mission as first quest is destroy mining drill
