The USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) is a guided-missile destroyer and the lead ship of the U.S. Navy's Zumwalt class, commissioned in 2016. The ship represents a radical departure from traditional destroyer design with its distinctive tumblehome hull and angular, stealthy superstructure that gives it a dramatically reduced radar cross-section. At approximately 600 feet (182,9 m) long and displacing nearly 16,000 tons, it's one of the largest destroyers ever built for the U.S. Navy.
