The Central Government Building No. 2, located in Kasumigaseki, Tokyo, is a modern skyscraper with 21 floors above ground and 4 floors below ground. It was renovated between 1997 and 2000.
The building primarily housed government agencies related to the former Ministry of Home Affairs, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, the National Public Safety Commission,
the National Police Agency, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Transport Safety Board,
and the Maritime Court. It was a central location for Japan's core administrative agencies.
