A silent witness to the devastating December 26, 2004 Aceh Tsunami. This massive 80-ton concrete dome is the only remaining structure of the completely destroyed Lamteungoh Mosque. It was miraculously lifted and swept 2.5 km inland by the giant waves, landing completely intact in the middle of Gurah Village's rice fields. It also served as a life-saving boat for several survivors who clung to it during the disaster.
