The Taihe Rock Glazed Tile Archway is located in Beixinwu Village, Jiexiu City, Shanxi
Province, and was built in the 23rd year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign (1897 AD).
Originally the gate archway in front of the Zhenwu Temple, it survived only after
the temple was destroyed. This archway, covered entirely in magnificent glazed
tile decorations, is hailed as one of the most beautiful glazed tile archways in China
and is now a national key cultural relics protection unit.
