Jinmen Guli, also known as Tianjin’s Ancient Culture Street, is located in Nankai District and serves as the birthplace of Tianjin as well as a signature landmark of the city. Centered on the Tianhou Palace, one of the world’s three major Mazu temples, the street is flanked by imposing archways bearing such names as “Jinmen Guli.” It brings together time-honored brands like Zhang’s Clay Figures and Yangliuqing New Year Prints, encapsulating more than six centuries of Tianjin’s history and folk culture, and is designated a national AAAAA‑rated tourist attraction.
