It's a change in the way the map previews are created. Once you visit and save each map, they will all have the new tint.

I've found that this shade of blue only manifests in a vegetation style of the map, and it's not doing any good to save the city again and again.

It's a change in the way the preview map images are made. They don't change until you play a map and save it.
