I think an interesting idea would be to create a series of different "countries" on huge maps and then edit them together to create one large world map.

The Nation of Svalvard

http://www.theotown.com/forum/userpix/333_svalvard_1.jpg [Hopefully, the picture loaded okay. This is a small nation that I've been working on for about three weeks. I'd love to have comments and suggestions as to things that can be built next.] Svalvard is a peace-loving, small, environmentally co...

Middle class and rich habitants will only move in if there is available $$ and $$$ housing respectively. To create a demand for better housing, you need to build schools primarily, but I think as your businesses and industry level up they generate demand for better housing as well. Also remember tha...

Dude there are plenty of Clash of Derp games on the app store. It would be a shame to take a great game like Theo Town and militarize it. Besides, the engine isn't really conducive to that sort of game. It would take a new app from the ground up.

I quite honestly didn't have a build plan in mind. Lovecraft died in the thirties so Arkham as a setting was kind of frozen in time there. I basically added my own lore to his basic idea of the town, especially the history post-1930.

City of Arkham

http://www.theotown.com/forum/userpix/333_sketch1460550182206_2.png My own version of the fictional city of Arkham from the Lovecraft universe. The city was founded in the colonial era in what is now Lovecraft County, Massachussets. It is bisected by the Miskatonic River, bordered to the south by B...

Under the DEMAND tab, it lists the demand for each type of building. What that represents is what buildings people want built in your city. If there is no demand for $$$ Commercials, they won't build them. You wouldn't build a shopping mall somewhere no one would shop.

You know what I wanna see? Zeppelin airships. Zeppelins would make me very happy. XD

But that probably wouldn't be worth the trouble. I think the game is great though so far and I think the Devs have done a great job already.

I agree. And cities aren't responsible for keeping a military in any modern nation anyways.

That would be a good idea. Or a National Guard base as a higher-tier police station.

Pollution Control

As we all know, pollution is very bad. Especially in Theo Town, because citizens living near industrial zones will complain endlessly. I mean, it's pretty reasonable to complain. Have you ever smelled a paper mill? Anyways, I think that at a certain interval, perhaps after building a big town hall o...

I actually like the total lack of militancy in TheoTown. It's refreshing and makes the game more enjoyable, in my opinion. I will admit, however, that in a hypothetical scenario like a giant monster attacking the city (because you know that stuff happens in these types of games) you should be able t...
