It cannot be used between maps with different difficulties
It cannot be used in online mode
I assume your issue is from one of the two

ThoTown 2 I believe is impossible. Not just for now, but into the foreseeable future as well. And not just because theres only 2 devs

The game gets frequent enough updates imo, most recent update adds a pie chart to the game for instance.

Seems to be an update with the version, update to a later version, join beta if you can. Otherwise, you'd have to wiat for na update

If you're on pc, install 64 bit java (and restart your pc) and it should work. I f you already have 64 bit java, update it

When you open the game, it will appear on your screen ex 1.11.89. It will also appear at the bottom of your menu button

Because theres a lot of things you dont know. There are only 2 devs behind TheoTown. And a lot more that happens behind the scenes

Try joining the beta and updating the game if you can

A shader doesnt really do much in terms of changing textures. Its pretty much an effect set over the city which alters the way the whole city looks. Vanilla building? You cant change them directly but the forum has the world textures available which you can use to make a modified version of the plugin building.

.plugin extention was replaced by .ttplugin and it would be best if you got the new file type from the creator. That said, you just download it and then put it in your plugin folder
