Problems with creating map with height map

Hey!

Really been trying to get a map based on my hometown of Stockholm. I've figures out how to download a height map via terrain.party. I've seen the thread about it here and the video which was uploaded, followed all the steps. However, when I type in the name of the map in the game it freezes and I have to force quit. I saw that it said the images have to be re-saved if you're playing on iOS. I'm however playing on MacOS but maybe it's the same problem? I've also tried to re-save the image as an 8-bit image with only gray color instead of full color but that didn't work either. Im at a loss here, how can I resolve this?
